Thanks to Peter Vellacott, the helicopter pilot from Fast Helicopters, for going out of his way to help me to get our video shots today. I would also like to mention the farmer Mike Burge, of Vale Farm, Pitt. He is very positive towards the circle being on his land specially after he saw the aerial video footage. He will be cutting the wheat circle in 3 days time. Please remember the honesty box. The crop circle itself is surrounded by radio masts and is over the hill from one of the worlds most magnificent cathedrals in Winchester. One has to marvel at the complexities in this new circle. We are very lucky and privileged to be able to observe such great formations in the English countryside.

I'm emailing to report what I think is a new crop circle. It's located between Sparsholt and Pitt, just west of Winchester in Hampshire. The formation itself is in a field immediately to the west of a complex of radio transmission towers.

I managed to access the formation (there is a public foot path which runs around the edge of the field, although I believe there is more direct access via a farm gate and gravel track accessible off Sarum Road I think.) the formation I think is big by circles standards. I paced it out and guess it's over 100m in length... and not far off that in width. it consists of a large rectangle with dozens of horizontal lines of seemingly undulating width, and a large circle which over laps this shape. It appears to contain hundreds of standing and flattened "squares" of crop which spiral out from the centre of the circle. Other than that it's really not possible from ground level to discern if the formation is meant to represent anything coherent. I hope this info is of use... and look forward to seeing photos of this formation as and when someone can over fly!
