UFO SAVES EARTH - Sun Magazine December 24, 2002

Aliens destroy killer Meteor before it slams into planet!A mysterious UFO saved Earth from a devastating meteorite, a leading research institute has concluded.
The Dramatic event took place on November 1 over Turkey, and was witnessed by six airplane crews and several other observers. Their testimony is supported by video and still photographs.
“The incident could be considered as one of the most prominent events in the history of mankind,” says a spokesman for Sirius, an international UFO watchdog agency. “This historical event, which discloses the reality of the existence of extraterrestrial life, has been subjected to in-depth analysis by our research center.”
All the witnesses agree on the basic facts:
On November 1, between 5:30 and 5:45 in the morning, a massive meteorite was spotted streaking across the pre-dawn sky, heading for Earth at a 45-degree angle. As it plunged towards the ground, it was intercepted by an unidentified flying object. Seconds later, the meteorite shattered into 15 or 20 fragments, which burned up harmlessly in Earth’s atmosphere. At the same time, the UFO flew out of visual range at what has been described as a speed faster than that of light.
Sinan Yilmaz, first officer of Sun Express Air flight 590, reports that he and Captain Ercan Eken had just taken off from Antalya, Turkey, in a Boeing 737-800, bound for Salzburg, Austria, when their attention was captured by a spectacular show in the sky in front of their aircraft.
“We ascended up to 36,000 feet and we engaged the autopilot,” he told Sirius investigators. “After passing our checkpoint over Afyon, we made a turn towards Yalova.
“Our captain noticed a huge light to the left-hand side of the plane. We kept watching it while it flew at a higher altitude from right to left. Then we realized it was not a conventional aircraft, but a UFO.”
Previously, Eken had seen the meteorite, which he likened to the Hale-Bopp comet. The UFO approached the meteorite at high speed and flew over it. Suddenly, the meteorite began to break up.
“I saw 10 or 15 constant lights (other witnesses report that the number was between 15 and 20) flying very close to each other,” Yilmaz says. “These lights were leaving yellowish trails behind them.
“Then, they started to move away from each other. We observed them for about 40 seconds until they disappeared.”
As the meteorite fragments, incinerated by the frictional heat of Earth’s atmosphere, vanished from view, the UFO also began to move at lightning speed – faster, says Yilmaz, “than the speed of light.
“I’m 100 percent certain that the object I saw was not a conventional aircraft – it was a UFO,” he concludes.
Strangely, the event, even though it was witnessed by so many credible observers, was not recorded on military radar.
“How can we explain that such organizations as NASA and NORAD failed to spot these objects?” the Sirius spokesman asks. “There may be two reasons for that.
“Either they covered it up to avoid sparking panic among people or extraterrestrial technology made it invisible to radar using some kind of energy shield.”
